Do You Have a Date?

I did not know Valentines Day is aka Single Awareness Day (S. A. D.). What the worlds 🤦🏽‍♀️. #ValentinesDay is what it is, a day of expressing romantic love, loving relationships, and love interests.

Do not let being alone make your mouth buy you a ticket to Lonelyville, All Year. Declare your heart’s desire, not your past disappointments. Do you discuss your reality? Yes. But confessing: “I’ll never find someone.” “Women don’t want a good man, anymore.” “I don’t need a man.” “I’m too busy for a relationship.” Noooo. God made you for someone.

There are really good men who are ready for relationships and phenomenal women who are ready, as well.

#WOMEN A super sweet woman can deny and deprive herself through being snared by her words. If you want love, want it 🤷🏽‍♀️. You can be ready and not be desperate. We all ‘need’ things but it does not make you ‘needy.’ 🗣It’s okay. Culture has told us – you’re strong alone, don’t sound weak, ‘you yo’ own boo.’ #CutItOut #ReadyForLoveAndInWaiting #GodDeliveredMeToo🙋🏽‍♀️

#MEN There is a woman who is successful, or on her way up, AND still sees you as Superman — not because of your stuff but because of your inner substance. The woman is #ordained to be your bridge to favor. A man with the right woman goes from overwhelmed to #overflow. However, if you are waiting and thinking you can jump in like Super Fly, after she turns her attention to another man, you’re going to lose. When a woman switches off, she’s out. It’s better to state your intentions instead of saying, “I was intending to.” And don’t be, “God knows.” Yep, He knows you lost out. #BeClear #BeHappy

Where is love on your list? Not what’s been on your lips, but on your heart. Whatever is a priority gets prioritized, period. Only one ☝🏽 life to choose how you will live, laugh, and love. It’s on you. ❤️💕

If people ask, do you have a date for Valentines, tell them, “Yes, February 14th” 😁. Bye, y’all. #DoYouHaveADate

Better Days Are Coming

Last year, everything I did, hurt. When I preached, it was painful. If you saw me at your event, I hurt. If just visiting a church, I was in pain. Working in the community, pain. I’m talking physical torment.

Nope. I didn’t talk about it. My family didn’t know. I was not aware of the why, so I pushed through it while looking for answers. Until a couple of months ago, I had no idea how serious it was and how near my body was to being beyond repair. My God is so good y’all! No residual issues! Grateful is little until you see how much you needed Him and didn’t even know it. God’s interruption of a natural disaster is a #miracle.

About mid-year 2017, God began telling me that I would be cutback, hibernated for a winter season. He meant it, too – for ministry, church, relationships, you name it. The pruning began.

After a gruesome and painful process to ‘right alll the wrongs,’ I am now on my journey to, not just healing, but wholeness. I feel so much better, #physically. And I see so much clearer, #prophetically.

At this point, God is literally teaching me what biblical “rest” means and what it looks like in practice. This is a quieting and enriching journey. I am discovering the true authentic relationships in my life. My quantities are decreased but my quality is rising.

If you find yourself in a quiet season, embrace it. #Winter looks scarcely fruitful, dim and uninviting, but restoration is happening underneath the surface. #Spring comes soon enough.

This year God is opening doors to more. Some doors are for us to walk ‘out’ and say goodbye. 2018 is a cleanup year. 2017 was #rough but God made us #tougher! Great things are on the horizon.

I am thankful for you, my family, church family, and friends. Thank you for the prayers and encouragement. Hugs and love ❤️. #MoreInStore #PreparedForTheBest

The Woman at the Well, identified as Photini by 1st century saints, shows us that the right #love can quench all our thirsts. Her name means “enlightened one.”

The Samaritan woman met Jesus at the well on an unscheduled social day. Like Jesus, she came to the well thirsty. They were physically thirsty, in different ways. Jesus wanted to quench His bodily thirst; and so did she in a physical, but emotional way, too.

There are deeper layers to the story. Beyond the natural, Jesus thirsted for souls, and the woman for that “at-long-last” love.

“Give me a drink,” Jesus said. A #scandal broke out at that moment. Jews were forbidden to share anything in common with “those” unclean Samaritans but purpose always prevails over personal preferences.

When she questioned Him, Jesus replied, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is saying to you, ‘Give me a drink,’ you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.”

Living water must have sounded good to the ex-wife of five, who is now shacked up with a sixth paramour, that is illicit lover.

Photini took a long, deep drink and never thirst again. She became one of our earliest #evangelists, telling any and everyone she saw what Jesus had done for her. #TESTIFY

She teaches us that no matter how parched our dry soul becomes, true love can unexpectedly show up and quench ALL of our thirsts. (Scripture Reference: John 4)

Welcome to February!
