SPIRITUAL AND SOCIAL. As a student of all things church, I simply find the story below, interesting.

I believe that the church should be organic, even when we have to be strategic. However, this was a bad strategy, poor judgment, and an indictment on how we can become lost in the church “business” if we’re not careful. 

Being a business student, I get that there are some excellent principles in business, but there is a distinction of how and when, or even if, we should use certain applications in the church. I think this is a marketing strategy gone wrong. Poor planning and execution with a lack of internal filters.

Freedom Church sent out an email asking for white greeters at their morning service to keep their racial demographic in check. The church and its pastors have since apologized and repented, but the racial damage is still lingering in the minds of some of their congregants.
